Our final privacy policy is being drafted.

For questions about how Shakespaire handles your data, please email hello@shakespaire.com. We will reply personally.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how Shakespaire is used — how people arrive, which parts of the product they reach, and where they get stuck.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, nothing is measured until you agree. Everywhere else, measurement starts on your first visit and you can turn it off at any time. If you have an account, the setting lives under Settings, and your choice follows you across devices. If you do not, your choice is remembered in this browser.

What we do not collect

  • Not what you read. Analytics are switched off entirely on reading pages, so nothing you do inside an issue — scrolling, selecting, following a link — is recorded.
  • Not your email address. Where a stable identifier is needed, we send a SHA-256 hash rather than the address itself.
  • Not the contents of your issues. Events carry identifiers and counts, never the words.
  • No session recording. We do not replay your screen, and the feature is disabled in code rather than merely unused.

A typical event records that an issue was generated or opened, along with which newsletter it belonged to and how long it took — the shape of the activity, not its substance.
